Another weekend without hobbytime

I'm not saying I've been a lazy cat, it was only the hobby side of my life that didn't get any attention these last couple of days...

Friday night, some friends came over to play Formula D. We're planning on starting a championship. We would get together once a month to play one race and then at the end of a 6 month (or whatever) stretch, we'd see who comes out as the winner.
Much fun was had by all, and I think we'll be going ahead with this.

As you may (or may not) know, my better half is obsessed with horses. A little over a year ago, we bought a horse ("Copy's tan", 8yo chestnut mare, 1/2 Quarter horse, 1/2 Appaloosa) and ever since, rarely a day goes by that she isn't doing stuff for her horsemanship. Of course, we bought a trailer recently (an old one, saves some cash) and on Saturday, we cleaned it up entirely and got the tires fixed up. Good as new! (until the next thing breaks)

The rest of the day was spent with my in-laws and we brought their dog back to our place to spend the rest of the weekend. It's a (huge) 10 year old black male Labrador. It's a good dog, but he easily gets overexcited and sometimes needs some discipline, especially when another dog gets near.
Also, our cats get a little 'suspicious' when he's around... too much energy for them :p

Sunday, we took the brand new (looking) trailer for a spin as my wife wanted to take Copy to a local American style horse riding club. She gets a bit nervous around horses and locations she doesn't know and we thought it might be a good experience for Copy to start going to different places and meeting different horses (and people).

Anyway, everything went well and around 5pm, we were ready to head towards the coast to have dinner with friends. By the time we got back, it was already 11pm and we were tired so we went to bed.

Like usual, life gets in the way... stay tuned for updates (hopefully) this week!

In the mean time, I ordered and received a box of Pathfinders and a Fireblade... yay!
